Immune Boosting Hacks

Sleep

Sleep is paramount for an efficient immune system. Routinely sleeping less than six or seven hours a night demolishes your immune system. Sleep is linked to many different functions of the body. It truly is the connector of the psycho-neuro-immunological system. Sleep has an affect on regulating many hormone cascades thus affecting the body's ability to adapt to both internal and external stresses. Meditation

It is more important than ever to remember to breathe, slow down, and connect. This meditation has great physical benefits, and leads to more mental clarity. This meditation is an adaptation from the one found inZen in the Martial Artsand has helped us in between adjustments.

1. Set a timer for 20 minutes unless you are doing this prior to falling asleep. (This is a great bedtime meditation)

2. Focus on your breath taking a long inhale through your nose and a brief exhale out of your mouth, allowing your lungs to fully empty.

3. Once you have a nice rhythm of your breath, start to notice areas where your body that is talking to you. Feel those sensations.

4. Extend your breath and awareness into that location of your body filling the cells of that area. We like to imagine the cells working hard on healing, and reconstruct the tissues to become optimal. We can bring white healing light and breath to this area to allow it to heal.

*We lovingly refer to this meditation as the Fraggle Rock meditation thinking of our cells as Fraggles that remove what is unnecessary and rebuild new and improved cells, tissues, and organs.

Fruits & Veggies

Fruits and Vegetables provide vital nutrients for the health and maintenance of your body. It is easy to want to load up on snacks and processed foods while stuck at home, but it is important to fuel your body with quality foods!

Get Adjusted

The body is a self healing, self regulating organism. That the nervous system controls and coordinates all functions of the body. Tonal shifts and subluxations obstruct and interfere with that process.  The nervous system controls the immune system - the two of them are actually a combined supersystem! In addition to the important public health measures such as hand washing, responsible social distancing etc. you should also consider getting your spine checked and adjusted if necessary along with other salutogenic activities that will support nervous and immune function.
